The Process

How do we get from thoughts and words to pixels and bytes? Here’s how.

Initial meeting/Get to know me/you!

We meet, we talk, sometimes there’s food involved, sometimes only a telephone or a computer. The purpose of the meeting is for me to gather facts: the details of your project, background and information about your business, who your target audience is, who your competition is, timeframe, and budget, among other things. To get a jump on this conversation answer some of these questions, listed to the right, beforehand.

After our conversation I will give/send you a sheet detailing what we covered, agreed upon, and what happens next. If the project is large enough in scope there will be a standard contract to sign.

Rough around the edges

At this point I get to work creating mockups for the project. When finished we discuss what stays, what goes, and what needs to only be moved up and left two pixels.

The Devil is in the Details

From here on the finished project comes to life. With each successive iteration we fine-tune the end product to our mutual satisfaction.

The Launch Party

We shake hands, congratulate each other, and take comfort in the fact that what we’ve created is a quality product.

Rest Easy

If the product is a website then the terms of any future updates and maintenance will have been agreed upon earlier in the project timeline. I strive for prompt response times and am always willing to help in any way I can.
